End of an Era

Keaton with Great-Grandma Anderson

My sister and I with Grandma and Grandpa

Although the Dahlberg family had a great Christmas in McCall we did receive some sad news on Christmas morning.  My Mom's Mother, Ellen Anderson, passed away at the age of 89 years old.  She was a wonderful woman and will be missed.  She was the last Grandparent on my side of the family, so as my Dad put it "It's the end of an era".  With Grandma's passing, the torch of family statesman has been officially passed to my parents and uncles and aunts.  I hope none of them feel any apprehension with accepting this role because they learned from the best.  I think I speak for my siblings and cousins in saying that we know you will all excel in the role and we all look forward to our children learning life's lessons from their Grandparents as we learned them from ours.

We miss you Grandma Anderson and we hope you had a great Christmas with Grandpa and Uncle Ronnie.

Those photos are precious... I didn't know your grandparents well, but I remember Grandma & Grandpa Dahlberg having coffee, etc... with them when they watched me.

It is "the end of an era"... but, as cliched as it sounds, the end of one era always leads to the beginning of another. Take care, and hold the cherished memories close to your heart.

Beautiful and well-said. I couldn't agree with you more, Mike!

As most funerals are, it was a sad day but also a great opportunity to see many relatives. It was nice to see you, Danny, and Keaton.

Looking forward to seeing you again soon — probably this summer?
