Weekend in Bozeman for Kirsch/Treloar Wedding

This last weekend we were in Montana for the wedding of a couple of Mike's MSU friends. The weather was great in Bozeman and I got the grand tour. From campus (we bought an MSU outfit), to Mike's house he grew up in to his favorite sandwich place - the Pickle Barrell. It was a great time. I retired back to the hotel room around 10pm each night, but Mike stayed out and enjoyed catching up with friends he hadn't seen in a while. It was great to finally meet all of them! Thanks to Carmal for being his dancing partner after I left the wedding (I have discovered I am really not a sober dancer :) )

We have another appointment this Friday. I promise another post after that!!

The first photo is at 6 weeks and the second is last night....we are 10 weeks today!!! Hope this bikini still fits me around Thanksgiving...we are heading to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Can't wait!!! We have our next appointment next Friday (November 2nd).
This weekend we are heading to Montana for another wedding. Another long car drive, but I am looking forward to being able to spend some time in Bozeman, having Mike show me around and seeing all of his old haunts!

30th Birthday Weekend

Well, this Friday I turned the BIG 3-0!! Crystal flew in from Tacoma Thursday night and I took a 1/2 day on Friday to go to the spa with her for our first couples massage! That night I headed to dinner with Donny, Misti, Brandie, Dave, Mike and Crystal. We went to a Japanese steakhouse here in Boise. It was a great time! Saturday I got up and ran a 10k with a couple girlfriends. Mike and Crystal came down to cheer me on at the finish line. Then that night was a Birthday BINGO party at the White's house! Good times! Not only did I win the pumpkin carving contest I also won BINGO 3 times! What a B-day! Thanks to everyone for your B-day wishes and the good times. I love you all!!

BTW...beginning to show a little! I promise to post a belly pic this week!! It will be the 10 week mark!

First Ultrasound!!

We had our first doctor appointment and ultrasound Friday (October 5th). We got to see the baby's heart beat (we'll hear it next time) and found out we are 7 weeks along!!! Our official due date is May 22nd. It seems we had one heck of a wedding night (that is the night we conceived)!!

Our next appointment is November 2nd and the appointments will be monthly until I am 32 weeks or so. Our next ultrasound will be around 20 weeks and hopefully at that time we will be able to see the sex!! YES....we are finding out!!!

I am feeling fine. Still just seem to be tired more than anything. Not really nauseous at all. Fighting off this cold seems to be my biggest battle!!

I promise to start posting the belly pics this week...although there isn't much to see yet :)

We also hope to have our wedding pics by this weekend!!! It is taking FOREVER!!!

Gas.....

Now anyone who's knows me, knows I am also a gassy person. But, man...pregnancy takes it to a whole new level and brings with it awful pain!!!! I am learning to stay away from certain foods...so far broccoli and pinto beans. As I love both I hope they are something I can revisit farther along in the pregnancy. And, both are supposed to be good for the baby. Just not for the mama and those within a one block radius of her rear :)

I finished my first pregnancy book (thanks to uncle Crystal for sending it). It is Belly Laughs, by Jenny McCarthy. I have always loved her and thought she was hilarious, but this book has taken my fondness and turned it into a love for Jenny. In this book she writes short chapters about what really happens to you and your body during pregnancy in a no holds barred style. She's crass and really tells it like it is. I recommend it for any mother or father to be!!

I should have the first two belly photos up at the end of this week. I will post them after the appointment so that they will be titled with the correct week. We will find out exactly how far along we are Friday morning at 8am...so check back for more news and details!!
